Of course your kids come before everything else, including yourself, but don’t let being a mom steal your sexy.
You’re probably thinking, yeah right, easier said than done! But is it really? It is hard, but not impossible. I have a 4 year old girl, and she gives me a run for my money! It seems like this girl is always hungry. She is always asking for something and following me everywhere! I can’t so much as use the bathroom without hearing “mommy where are you?” at least once. You know what I’m talking about. She is passed the regular napping stage, so I can no longer look forward to that. It’s exhausting. The last thing I want to do is get dressed up, but getting ready for the day always makes me feel good. I’m in a better mood and I don’t feel thrown off if I suddenly have to leave the house.
Self Care is giving your kids the best of you, not what is left of you
Yes you are a mom. You are also a role model. You have tiny humans looking to you for guidance. Little girls learn how to be a woman from mom. Little boys learn what to look for in a woman. So take care of yourself mama. Go for a jog, get your hair and nails done, read a book, have a drink, cry. Do what you have to do. Your children need you to be okay. https://www.momwithcookies.com/self-care-ideas-for-moms/
The way we feel about ourselves
During pregnancy we have that special glow, at least that’s what they tell us. For 40 weeks our body changes. We gain weight. We gain a lot of weight. You just want baby out. You’re ready to hold that beautiful baby and of course get back into your pre-baby jeans. After surviving labor the hard part is over, or so you think. Cue the sleepless nights and puffy eyes, the mountains of laundry, those sweatpants you have been living in, the sink full of dishes and the never ending pile of dirty diapers. We are always up on our feet doing something. We feel exhausted and fat. It doesn’t have to be that way though, don’t let being mom steal your sexy!
Somebody once told me
Stand in front of the mirror for a few minutes everyday, in the nude, until you like what you see. Take boudoir photos of yourself, to help you realize just how gorgeous you really are. Repeat affirmations at yourself every time you catch a glimpse of your reflection. Here are a few sites to help you find your sexy.

That being said
I challenge you mama. I challenge you to do one thing everyday that makes you feel sexy! Get a blowout, do your makeup, wear that risky top/dress, or even get your nails done. If it’s easier to include baby in that self care thing, do it. You are the only thing standing in the way of that feeling. Doing just one thing everyday will keep you feeling great and allow you to be your best. We want our kids to have a positive self image and the easiest way to achieve that, is to start with ourselves.
Until next time. Stay beautiful.
